Video Cortesia TV Azteca Las autoridades mexicanas revelaron hoy un video de seguridad en el que se ve al grupo de criminales responsable de prender fuego ayer a un casino en Monterrey, donde murieron un total de 52 personas -y no 53 como se informó originalmente-, de las que 33 han sido ya identificadas. En las imágenes se ve a un grupo de entre 8 y 9 delincuentes armados que arriban al Casino Royale a bordo de dos camionetas y dos automóviles, y en tan solo 2 minutos y medio sacan tres garrafones con combustible, incendian el establecimiento y se dan a la fuga. El gobernador del estado de Nuevo León -del que Monterrey es capital-, Rodrigo Medina, ofreció hoy una conferencia de prensa para dar detalles de los hechos y señaló que hay además una decena de lesionados por intoxicación y quemaduras. Asimismo, precisó que todos los fallecidos murieron por las llamas y no por heridas de arma de fuego. Las autoridades creen que la cifra de muertos se mantendrá estable, aunque no descartaron encontrar algún cadáver entre los escombros del lugar, donde hay riesgo de que el inmueble colapse. "Las fuerzas del orden se han mantenido en alerta permanente con el objetivo de dar con los responsables materiales" de la matanza, señaló el gobernador de Nuevo León, un estado asolado por la violencia del crimen organizado, desde que los cárteles del Golfo y de Los Zetas -que operan en esa zona- se declararon la guerra en 2010. En las investigaciones participan distintas dependencias estatales, federales y las fuerzas armadas. La Procuraduría General de la República (PGR, fiscalía federal) realiza los peritajes criminológicos en el sitio del incendio, a donde llegará en las próximas horas el presidente de México, Felipe Calderón. En tanto, la fiscalía de Nuevo León se ocupa de los interrogatorios de 13 testigos y en la identificación de los cuerpos y de los propietarios del casino. Medina señaló que el Gobierno local brindará apoyo jurídico, psicológico y ofrecerá programas sociales a las familias de víctimas e incluso pagará los gastos funerarios. La fiscalía de Nuevo León emitió ya una "orden de presentación" (llamado a declarar) a los representantes legales del Casino Royale, quienes cuyas identidades no fueron reveladas. El casino siniestrado es propiedad del Grupo Royale, que posee establecimientos en las ciudades de Monterrey, Mazatlán, Los Cabos y Escobedo. El establecimiento abrió sus puertas hace tres años y medio y tiene dos amplias plantas y un edificio contiguo de estacionamientos. En el primer piso hay un bingo con capacidad para 250 personas, máquinas tragamonedas, ruletas y apuestas deportivas y en la segunda planta mesas de póquer, entre otras. Por su parte, el secretario de Gobernación (Interior) de México, Francisco Blake, indicó en la misma conferencia que el atentado del jueves, que muchos analistas ya califican como "terrorista", "muestra más de la irracionalidad del crimen organizado y de su desprecio por la vida y la convivencia en comunidad". Blake señaló que las autoridades actuarán "con toda la fuerza del estado" y llevarán "a cabo el máximo despliegue para dar con los responsables de este cobarde atentado y ponerlos tras las rejas". "A pesar del dolor y de la tragedia es momento de actuar unidos y de identificar a plenitud el enemigo común de méxico que es el crimen", sostuvo. El funcionario reveló además que el casino obtuvo el permiso para operar el 23 de octubre de 2007 y que está vinculado con la compañía Atracciones y Emociones Vallarta.
