WE PASSED MANY RESTAURANTS AND OTHER SHOW ATTRACTIONS LIKE SHIN LIM FROM AMERICAS GOT TALENT AND THE COMEDY ACES WITH VARIOUS FAMOUS COMEDIANS LIKE DAVID SPADE, RAY RAMANO, BILL MAHER, AND OTHERS. WE MADE OUR WAY INTO THE SHOPPING AREA WHILE NOT AS LARGE AS SOME OTHER HOTELS, AT LEAST IT OFFERES SOME SHOPPING AND SNACKS INSIDE. WE ALSO WENT OUT TO SEE THE INFAMOUS VOLCANO ATTRACTION AND GOT AN UP-CLOSE VIEW OF THE SHOW AND FELT THE HEAT FROM THE FLAMES. THIS IS ALSO GOING AWAY WHEN THEY BUILD THE NEW HOTEL. AT THE END, WE WERE A BIT SADDENED THAT THIS IS ALL GOING TO BE GONE SOON. IT IS SAD TO SEE OLD HOTELS GO AS MUCH AS IT IS EXCITING TO SEE NEW ONES BUILT, BUT WE HAVE BEEN HERE MANY TIMES. THE HARD ROCK IS TAKING OVER AND WILL BE DEMOLISHING PART OF THE ORIGINAL MIRAGE BUT MORE DETAILS TO COME ABOUT THAT AS THE NEWS CHANGES CONSTANTLY ON THE PLANS. THE MIRAGE IS A CASINO RESORT ON THE LAS VEGAS STRIP. THE RESORT OPENED ON NOVEMBER 22, 1989, AFTER TWO YEARS OF CONSTRUCTION.
